My only problem with ensolite is that it is a closed cell foam. Correct me if I'm wrong, but CCF isn't used to really keep noise out of the cabin. Rather, it's purpose is to dampen existing sound that is already in the cabin. I was thinking about putting a dynamat type of material under the MLV (like raammat), but that is used towards noise reduction due to rattling/vibrations - not my goal. Those are the reasons I chose MLV. I'm not sure if my above theories are correct, but from what I've been reading I think they are. I might go with a layer of CCF and MLV to get maximum dampening. I don't doubt that the combination you used reduced sound levels, but I think the MLV would be more efficient at reducing the sound level.
